30 Hours

Saturday, Midnight-3:00am
Sunday, 8:00pm-3:00am
Monday, 10:00am-noon; 4:00pm-2:00am
Tuesday, 10:00am-6:00pm

3 hours + 7 hours + 12 hours + 8 hours = 30 hours. One project. Now, I can read magstipe cards.

The aftermath: Woke up at 1:00pm today; missed the easiest quiz in the same class today. Lost more points than the lab was worth. Life kinda sucks that way.

Wow, cool. You built a homemade magstripe reader? Was this a project for work or just for fun? What are you going to use it for, or will knowing make me an accomplice?

This was definitely for CSE 370. I don’t work this hard for fun very often. All I actually did was build the hardware to turn the output of a magstripe reader into characters written to an LCD screen, so its not quite as impressive as it may sound. It still took a lot of time and brainpower.
