Flip Side

While many good things have been going on recently, not everything has been hunky-dory. I missed my CSE 370 homework this week, and did pretty terribly on a very difficult (and poorly written) Organic Chemistry test. Test-wise, I’m feeling below-average vibes for myself, with an average of around 40%. I’ll let you know how that prediction pans out.

Did you tell the teacher (for organic chemistry) that you thought the test was hard to understand because of how it was written? (Can’t say it was poorly written or that might infuriate the teacher and that would be a *bad* thing.) Keep plugging away at it and make sure to do your homework.

The teacher has been out-of-town; and the TA’s have already passed the information along. The truth is, I probably would have done poorly one this exam even if it had been well-written, I just wasn’t well enough prepared.

I got a 56, exactly tied for average. I could have easily gotten a 67, but unfortunately I made some stupid mistakes. I was also a little bit away from getting a 75. The reason for the better-than expected score was an addition of three points for the crappy problem, and another pretty good showing on the multiple choice section of the test.
