Greetings From Eugene
Tonight I am in Eugene with the family at my sister’s place hanging out with her and my nephew. On the ride down we stopped for lunch with family friends in Lacey. I gave my nephew some Calvin and Hobbes books and my old digital camera, a Canon PowerShot S45. The LCD screen is broken, but everything else works so hopefully he’ll find it enjoyable and educational to use. After arriving and exchanging gifts, we headed out to eat at PF Changs for some sustenance. Now we are sitting watching A Thief in Time. Life is good.

Have fun in Eugene!
How old is your newphew??? Go back and read your post – you gave your nephew a broken camera for Christmas. If he’s any older than about 8, he’ll always remember the year he got a broken camera from his uncle. ;-)
Happy New Year!!

Come on, give me some credit here. I told him ahead of time that the camera had some deficiencies, and he still was excited to get it, so its not like I blindsided him with a broken gift.
Besides, a digicam without an LCD screen is a lot more like a “real” camera in which you only see the results of your pictures well after you take them, which helps increase mental visualization and memory skills. Or something like that.

I can’t believe you are in Eugene, I just moved from there after living there for 10+ years. Last time I saw you, you were 4, adorable, smart and had to put ketchup on everything you ate. Tell your parents and Ben I say hey. Does Ben still read the adventures of Tintin?
Scarey how the internet can help you find anyone, eh? ;)
