Yeah, they aren’t bad for “open” headphones. There are some good alternatives in the under $100 price range. The Grado SR 60 and SR 80 models are excellent cheap cans. I had a pair of Grado 325’s at one point that were by far the best headphones that I have ever used, but are more than a little pricey. Sennheiser has some great closed cans and I find them a bit more comfortable for extended wear, but I haven’t found anything in my pricerange that will beat my old Grado headphones. I currently make do with some Sennheiser HD 555’s. If you are looking for something more portable like in-ear headphones, Etymotic and Shure both make some excellent ones.
