Identical Quadruplets

A Canadian woman has given birth to extremely rare identical quadruplets.

The four girls were born at a US hospital because there was no space available at Canadian neonatal intensive care units.

Yay socialized medicine!

I would like to read the original article if you have a URL. This isn’t exactly a cut and dry topic and I doubt this specific case is as simple as you think. I can personally think of a number of reasons why a foreign hospital wouldn’t be equipped to handle multiple underweight births. Even in the US, the quality of care you would get under such a situation would vary drastically depending on location. The US may be more equipped in general for such situations due to the high use of IVF in the states, which tends to produce a disproportionate number of multiple births and their attendant complications. Maybe the couple simply chose to have their children where they felt they would get the most expert care?

Certainly this is taken out of context. The babies were delivered by C-section, two months premature. I just found the wording to be tickling.

FYI, a google news search for identical quadruplets reveals many articles on the topic.
