If all goes well, this will change to include Biology 200…

Today I spent an hour at work and 4 hours at the UW. Those hours were well-spent. I successfully got credit for Biology 180, Physics 122 and Physics 123. I ran into three people I knew (one of the great things about going to the UW), and had a good chat taking Nemo back home. In addition, I’m starting to think I may even have a chance at getting Biology 200 taken care of as well.

However, while Biology 200 fits well into an available 12:30 time slot, Biology 220 is out of the question for this quarter because of schedule conflicts. If I do get into Biology 200, one question then becomes whether to drop Math 324 (Advanced Multivariable Calculus), or to stick with the Monday/Wednesday 4-hour block of classes through the lunch hours. Another question is about which lab section I might be able to get in to – I’d prefer the Tuesday or Thursday 9:30 sessions, which would each come right after my CSE 143 (Intro to Computer Programming II) Labwork. There is also a Wednesday 9:00 section, but that would automatically preclude the Math 324, since its a three hour lab. Of course, with a Tuesday lab, I’d me looking at being in class 8:30 to 3:20 solid that day. So Thursday is definitely the best choice there.

While working the bureaucracy at UW is not my favorite past time, I think I’m getting pretty good at it, and its nice to know that it is workable, and that when I need something to get done, enough patience and gentle perseverance will win the day.

Further accolades to Rick, my wonderful boss at Microvision, for giving me tomorrow morning off at a minute’s notice, allowing me to attempt to sign up or the overstuffed Biology 200 class.
