So, are you showing that you boyhood exuberance for blowing stuff up never quite ended, or that you just got an awesome high speed camera such as the Casio EX-F1? :)
Yeah, the Casio EX-F1 can take some pretty dang high frame-rate video (300, 600, 1200 fps) at VGAish resolution and it can burst shoot 6mp. I’ve played around with one at Glazer’s a couple times and have been tempted, but it is just a little too special purpose for me. I will probably end up waiting for the next batch of Nikon DSLRs and that will be my next big camera splurge. Casio has built the high framerate video features into some pocket cameras more akin to the SD990 that you have, albeit at lower framerates/resolution. Canon still makes the best pocket cameras bar none imo. Hard to give that up for a limited use gimmick.

I think this would be much better with a high speed camera. Alas, my Canon SD990 only does 30 fps.
