Certainly the <em>American Rifleman<\/em> I have on my lap gives a one-sided account of the event, but it does have some pretty amazing quotes. I think I would like to see this debate sometime. Preferably not on Pay-Per-View.<\/p>\n<p>An excerpt:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Though [LaPierre] made this point often, perhaps he said it best in this itteration:<br \/>\n&#8220;So what you have are good and bad confronting each other all over the world &#8230; the good people want to be protected and they have a right to own a firearm. And I believe every citizen of the world had that basic human right.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nOnly once did Peters acknowlege LaPierre&#8217;s theme about human qualities of good and evil, making an incredible remark, &#8220;There is not a clear distinction between the good guys and the bad guys in the world. And &#8211; that only happens in the movies.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Wow. Yeah, Hilter wasn&#8217;t distinguishable from Churchill. Bush wasn&#8217;t distinguishable from Sadaam. A rapist isn&#8217;t distinguishable from his victim.
